Everyone should have an equal opportunity at getting the same education, and often teachers don't have the supplies they need to help students, like ours in the Maryville area, get the same education as everyone else. Through the Subaru Loves Learning initiative, in partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, over 600 different Subaru retailers, including our Knoxville, TN area Subaru Dealership, we've support over 300,000 students around the country get the supplies they need. With the help of donations from community members like ours around Sevierville, we've helped the 92% of students in the United States that can't afford to purchase school supplies thrive.
What is the Subaru Loves Learning Initiative?
Since 2016, Subaru of America has remained committed to helping students and schools like ours around Oak Ridge get the funding needed to provide each student with the supplies needed to get an equal education. Today, more than ever, having the right supplies and resources is more important than ever. Many teachers have had to purchase those supplies out of their own pockets, with an average of up to $750 each year. The entire month of August is Subaru Loves Learning month, with more than 600 retailers working with AdoptAClassroom.org to adopt and support a classroom, including those in the Knox County, TN area.
Those funds are used to provide teachers with the funds needed to purchase the materials they need to support their students and uphold the learning environment. The entire initiative couldn't be possible without donations from our caring community members, and we thank you for that.
