What's New for 2024?
The enthusiast-focused TR trim returns to the WRX lineup, boasting upgraded handling, Brembo brakes, Recaro seats, high-performance tires, and more. Additionally, Subaru EyeSight® driver aids, previously limited to CVT models, are now standard even with the six-speed manual.
Performance
The Subaru WRX is propelled by a 2.4-liter turbocharged Subaru BOXER® engine with 271 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. A quick-shifting 6-speed manual transmission is standard for drivers who prefer a more hands-on experience. Or you can select the Subaru Performance Transmission with paddle shifters and an 8-speed manual mode. The WRX delivers superb handling around curves and corners thanks to its rigid chassis, track-tuned suspension, summer performance tires, and available electronically controlled dampers. Finally, standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive optimizes traction on and off the road.
New for 2024, the Subaru WRX TR unlocks more performance potential with even stiffer springs, revised damping rates, and a re-tuned steering rack for precise cornering control. Bridgestone Potenza S007 high-performance tires increase grip in wet and dry conditions, while new Brembo brakes deliver confident stopping power and fade resistance.
Interior
While its focus is performance, the Subaru WRX doesn't sacrifice comfort or amenities. The spacious cabin is pleasantly accommodating, with modern styling, ample headroom and legroom, and an intuitive, driver-focused layout.
