What's New?
Few changes have been made to the Outback this year. The optional XT package for the Limited gives the models access to the more powerful turbocharged 260-hp 2.4-liter engine. Also, all Limited trims now feature a power sunroof, an 11.6-inch infotainment screen with navigation, driver attention monitoring, and a heated steering wheel.
Interior & Versatility
Inside, the 2026 Outback introduces a more spacious and refined cabin layout, providing comfortable accommodations for five passengers and ample room for both front and rear occupants. The new Subaru Outback generation also expands its available cargo capacity, offering 34.6 cubic feet behind the second row and up to 80.5 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. For larger items that don't fit inside the cabin, all 2026 Outback models now include the Wilderness trim's reinforced roof rails, which can support 220 pounds while moving and up to 800 pounds when parked-perfect for a rooftop tent.
